Ceramic coffee mug from Sarsaparilla's 1988 "AAF Officer's Aeroclub" series, style #4063, titled "Somethin's Brewin'". Artwork by illustrator Gamarello depicts a pin-up girl on a cloud with bombs and a P-38 Lightning, styled after WWII bomber nose art. Base is marked "© 1988 S.D.D. #4063," with S.D.D. standing for Sarsaparilla Deco Design; made in Korea.
This design was one of five mugs in the original boxed set, alongside #4060 "Heavenly Body," #4061 "Sentimental Journey," #4062 "Smashing Time," and #4064 "Special Delivery". The series references fictional WWII Army Air Forces officers' clubs (box marked "North Africa 1942" / "England 1944") and reproduces the pin-up-and-aircraft nose art style painted on U.S. bomber planes during the war.
Condition: Mug is mint — no chips, cracks, or crazing. Includes original box, in good condition for its age.
